VAT (value added tax) refunds and Money Exchange

VAT refunds are currently provided at two ITA locations:

  • Skarfabakki Harbour Information and Travel Service Centre in the Port of Reykjavík
  • The Official Tourist Information Centre in downtown Reykjavík 
            

Money Exchange 

Money Exchange also known as Currency Exchange is provided at the ITA Tourist Information Centre in Aðalstræti 2, (Reykjavík city centre) and at the Skarfabakki harbour Information and Service Centre in the Port of Reykjavik. Visitors to Iceland can exchange their currency at either of these locations. All major currencies are accepted.  

Free Booking Service

Travellers arriving in Reykjavík will find a range of information and access to free booking services at ITA's travel information centres.  ITA's main service centre is in the heart of Reykjavík and serveral other selected locations.

Designer Boutiques 

ITA's Designer Boutiques display some of the best of what Icelandic design has to offer. The boutiques are conveniently located in three hotels, offering added comfort and accessibility for visitors.
